The Bounty Broker is a unique one-man enclave in State of Decay 2.
About The Bounty Broker[]
The Bounty Broker is a man called Cash Beaumont. He can hook you up with a variety of bounties, but what are bounties exactly? Bounties are tasks you can complete in order to unlock items which are only obtainable through Cash, including Weapons (Close Combat, Melee, and Ranged Weapons too), Clothing, Facility Mods, Backpacks, and even Vehicles!
You can have a maximum of 3 bounties active at the same time. Only these bounties will progress as you play so activating correlating bounties is a good way to efficiently complete them. After you complete a bounty you must return to Cash to turn it in. When you turn in a bounty, you will receive the bounty's reward for free while also unlocking the item at the Broker for future purchases. You can purchase the unlocked items as many times you want, given that you have the Influence to pay for them. Additionally, the items may be found at random as scavenged loot after the associated bounty has been cleared [Testing needed, as this may only apply to some weapons or Facility Mods and not others].
Bounties are tied to your account, so progressing and completing them carries over to every of your current and future communities, meaning that you're able to complete a portion of a bounty in one community, finish it in another, and turn it in with a third. You'll only receive the free copy of an item with the community you used to turn it in. When you unlock a bounty with clothing as a reward, you'll unlock them permanently, just like when you find some while scavenging.
His location on all 5 campaign maps is permanent. You can visit him anytime you want to.
You can't progress with your bounties while playing Heartland. Cash doesn't show up in Heartland's Trumbull Valley either.
There are twelve Bounty Packs in the game, however only four of them are available simultaneously when visiting Cash. Items which have Lootable in the Price column are not tied to bounties, but can be found while scavenging. These items can be found all year around, even when their bounty pack is currently not available.
When a pack returns after being retired, you'll have to complete its bounties again to gain access to its items. When turning in a bounty you already completed in the past you'll receive some bonus Influence for the repeated completion. If the bounty reward would be a Clothing item you already unlocked, your reward will be Influence instead of another copy of the clothing.
Since Update 24 the Packs are on an automatized rotation, meaning that on the 1st every month a pack will be retired and another one returns without the need to update your game.
Note: If you're playing on an Xbox Series X/S and use Quick Resume frequently, you might need to restart the game to refresh the available bounty packs.
Who is the Bounty Broker?[]
The following broadcasts were released by the developers through Undead Dispatch, a single issue magazine made for the game's 5 Year Anniversary. The magazine was sent out to acknowledged members of the State of Decay community as a gift.

"The story I heard about the Bounty Broker is, he made all his money as an oil man, and then built himself a compound full of gear and supplies. Now he's a philanthropist, motivating the people to fight back against the zombies, and giving his prizes to the folks who do it best.
But don't you believe everything you hear. No man can run an operation like that on his own. He must have an organization. And what organization would give away an arsenal like that?
I bet if you take apart one of those tricked-out guns, you'll find a tracking device. One that traces right back to Project Osiris. They're using our own greed against us, and soon, we'll all be back under the government's control.

World War 2 Pack[]
They were good enough for Uncle Sam, they're good enough for you.
The first weapon pack of the game; debuted with Update 8, it only featured ranged weapons. Originally the contents of this pack were sold by a new World War 2 Wandering Trader, however when the Bounty Broker update released, the trader type got removed and the pack added to Cash. Players were not required to complete bounties to unlock these weapons. Players could also find these items by scavenging, but they were very rare.
In Update 19 the pack returned for the first time. Since then its original items are no longer available for purchase at Cash, however they became easier to find in the world. It also received 10 new items. When the pack returned again in June 2022, some of the bounties were made even easier.
This pack is available from June to September.
