Weapon Cases

Weapon Cases are lootable containers scattered around each map. They are a great source of rare and/or valuable weapons and items.

About Weapon Cases

The location of Weapon Cases are fixed, meaning every time you visit a map, you'll always find them at the same spots. On the other hand their contents are randomized. A Weapon Cases can either be scattered containers or containers of a location.

• Scattered container cases are almost always lootable (it's really rare that they're opened). When playing multiplayer they're always the host's loot.
• Cases which are containers of a location can already be opened when you get to them (containing no loot). There's a chance however that it will become lootable for a client when you play multiplayer as the host. If it was initially your (the host's) loot it won't turn lootable for clients.

Since Update 17 each case is fitted with a flashlight. The flashlights are always on until you open the case, allowing you to find the cases easier, especially during the night.

There are 15 Weapon Cases in Cascade Hills - 11 as Scattered Containers and 4 as Containers of a location.

1. Scattered Container - On a small rock at a campsite.
2. Container of the Isolated Camp - In the middle of the camp.
3. Scattered Container - On a bench behind the Beautiful Corner Ranch.
4. Scattered Container - On a small rock.
5. Scattered Container - On a bench by a firepit.
6. Scattered Container - On a bed inside a small shack.
7. Container of the Military Comms Station - Up on the metal platform, next to the open container.
8. Container of the Cliffside Campsite - On an open military crate next to the tent.

There are 14 Weapon Cases in Drucker County - 8 as Scattered Containers and 6 as Containers of a location.

2. Container of the Ten Thousand Gallon Hat - On top of the tower, opposite side to the ladder.
3. Scattered Container - Next to a makeshift shower.
4. Container of the Evacuation Center - On top of the eastern watchtower.
5. Scattered Container - On a makeshift table under the bridge.
6. Scattered Container - At the entrance of a makeshift shower under the bridge.
7. Container of the Survivalist's Hideout - On a table in the watchtower.
8. Container of the Sasser Regional Hospital - On a concrete bench behind the hospital.
9. Container of the Upper Levels - On the roof of the building.
10. Scattered Container - On top of a wooden watchtower.

Meagher Valley

There are 12 Weapon Cases in Meagher Valley - all of them are Scattered Containers.

1. Scattered Container - On top of some pallets on a flatbed trailer.
2. Scattered Containers - There are 2 cases inside a small shack.
3. Scattered Container - On top of a wooden crate on a flatbed trailer.
4. Scattered Container - On top of a white steel structure.
5. Scattered Container - Inside a shipping container in a small container fort.
6. Scattered Container - Next to a tent at the lower capsite on "Treasure Island".
7. Scattered Container - On a cliff by the upper campsite on "Treasure Island".
8. Scattered Container - On a small trailer in the middle of a flooded area.
9. Scattered Container - On top of a wooden watchtower.
10. Scattered Container - On a wooden platform by the makeshift wall defending the Abandoned Camper.
11. Scattered Container - In the middle of a campsite under the bridge.

Providence Ridge

There are 12 Weapon Cases in Providence Ridge - 10 as Scattered Containers and 2 as Containers of a location.

1. Scattered Container - On the bed of an orange wreck on top of a hill.
2. Scattered Container - Inside a cave by the waterfall.
3. Scattered Container - Next to a corpse on a rock by a small pond.

6. Container of the Small Water Tower - Infront of the portable restroom.

There are 14 Weapon Cases in Trumbull Valley - 10 as Scattered Containers and 2 as Containers of a location.

3. Scattered Container - On a desk between two cabins.

There are 17 Weapon Cases in Heartland's Trumbull Valley - 16 as Scattered Containers and 1 as Container of a location.

2. Scattered Container - Next to the grill behind the Campsite at the Pond.
3. Scattered Container - On the top of the cliff, beyond the fence.
4. Scattered Container - In the middle of the road surrounded by wrecks.
5. Scattered Container - On the ground next to the Rocky Peak.
6. Scattered Container - In the middle of the field surrounded by rocks.
7. Scattered Containers - There are 2 cases inside the Crashed Plane. Must destroy the Plague Wall to access them.
8. Scattered Container - On the catwalk of the irrigation post.
9. Scattered Container - Behind a rock next to the Likeside Refuge.
10. Scattered Container - Inside a small ruin infont of the Factory Husk.
11. Scattered Container - Next to a small building near the Electrical Transformers.
12. Container of the Vomitous House - On the counter in the kitchen. Must destroy the first Gauntlet Wall to access it.
13. Scattered Container - On a table inside a Military Container. Must destroy the first Gauntlet Wall to access it.
14. Scattered Container - Next to a corpse in the alley between the Revolting Storefront and Sketchy Gallery. Must destroy the second Gauntlet Wall to access it.
15. Scattered Container - On the ground next to a wooden watchtower. Must destroy the second Gauntlet Wall to access it.
16. Scattered Container - Next to the dumpster behind the Revolting Donut Shop. Must destroy the third Gauntlet Wall to access it.
